As the year comes to a close, I’ve taken the time to think back on 2015 and start looking forward to 2016.
First of all, this has been a really big year for me and The Claims Desk. We’ve worked with some wonderful people throughout the year, and we’re delighted to have helped them all and received some fantastic testimonials. With the kind of feedback we’ve been getting, we’re obviously doing something right.
In fact, we get all of our work through recommendations and referrals, so it’s a testament to the quality of what we do that we’re staying so busy helping so many clients. I want to thank all of our customers, partners, and suppliers for the support they gave us during 2015! It means so much.
This year has been a year for trying lots of new things. As you know, I released my first book, “The 5 Deadly Sins that Can Destroy Your Insurance Claim”, and I’m collaborating on two other books as well. I also presented at the Flood Expo, which was my first big speech and my first stand at an exhibition. It’s been an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to do even more in 2016.
So far, I’m having a new website built, and it’s going to be very helpful for our customers. There should be tons of free content and downloadable information available on the new site. Aside from the website, which is going to be a big upgrade, I’ve already received some cool ideas for how I’m going to expand my business in the new year, but it’s all hush-hush for now. Stay tuned for future developments!
On a more personal note, I’ve done loads of travelling in 2015 and seen some amazing places: Croatia, the States, Lanzarote, Israel, and a variety of places around the UK. My wife and I are planning on going away for a couple of days over the new year to recharge our batteries — although I’ll admit, I’m going to be using that time to think about and prepare what I’ll be doing in 2016, including all the new ways we can help our customers and all the value we can add.
We’ll be there in Kent from Wednesday the 30th of December to Sunday the 3rd of January 2016. There’s a nice cosy place right on the coast where we stayed a few years back. Long walks on a windy beach are good times to think about the new year and just chill for a bit. Our daughter is coming with us for one day before she comes back up to London to party for New Year’s Eve. Of course, my wife and I are past all that clubbing stuff, so we’ll be happy to have a quiet evening!
I’m also excited to be spending Christmas with my family. Things get so busy sometimes, but it’s important not to forget about what’s really important, a grand Christmas lunch and the Queen’s speech. It’ll be a four-day weekend this year as well, with the bank holiday falling on Monday, so that should work out nicely.
I have enjoyed sharing my thoughts and adventures with you throughout 2015 in this newsletter, and I can’t wait to fill these pages with fascinating new exploits in the new year. Until then, I wish you a safe, healthy, and happy holiday season — Happy New Year!
Best Wishes,
Steve Lazarus
