We’re More Than Just a Property Insurance Claims Company…

How We Help Those Who Need It Most..

I want to reflect for a moment on the festive season we have just enjoyed.

Here at The Claims Desk, yes we are a property insurance claims company but we also more than that. We’re extremely busy dealing with our usual array of fire, theft and flood claims and helping all our amazing clients. But as you know by now, there is more to what we do than just dealing with property insurance claims.

We love getting involved in community events, helping and inspiring others less fortunate than ourselves. While we have our health and (presently) all our faculties, I consider it our moral duty to do what we can to help those a little less fortunate than ourselves.

So what did we get up to?

Well, in early December we attended and supported the amazing annual charity dinner put on by JAMI ( www.Jamiuk.org), which is ‘The Mental Health Service For Our Community’.

For those of you who have read my book, ‘The Ultimate Success Secret’, you will recall my beautiful sister was struck down with mental illness when she was only 16 years old, and JAMI is the charity my parents set up and grew from our front room when I was a kid.

What an incredible job they have done, now supporting hundreds of sufferers to recovery, and helping them gain some control and meaning in their lives. This year, we were fortunate enough to have as the guest speaker the ex-professional footballer Clarke Carlisle, himself a sufferer.

What a man. What an inspirational speaker. He rightly got a standing ovation from the 300 people packed into the beautiful Montcalm Hotel in Marble Arch. Here at The Claims Desk, we also support as our nominated charity the wonderful Children’s Burns Trust (www.cbtrust.org.uk) — a percentage of all our profits goes to this fantastic cause.

For the first time following his reconstructive surgery, we paid for 3-year-old Harry and his family to go on a special Christmas day out to The Deep in Hull, one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world. There, they could take in the magnificent sharks and rays.

Another first for me during the festive season was when I was asked to be Santa by my daughter. She’s the manager at Play and Learn Day Nursery in Barnet. I can’t tell you how much fun I had dressing as Santa! I got to meet all the children, their mums and dads and all the lovely staff. We also donated all their Christmas gifts, which they loved.

We work pretty damn hard here at The Claims Desk to get the very best for all our clients in their property insurance claims but we also have a deeply rooted culture of giving back to our community with our time and resources.
