By nature, I’m quite a private person. It takes a lot for me to talk about my personal life openly, but certainly not with folks I don’t know all that well. Maybe it’s a bloke thing, or maybe it’s just me. Either way, I struggle with it. In fact, I often find it easier to write things down like I am doing now.

Ultimate Success Secret

And so, when I was approached a little while ago to co-author a book with one of my all time favourite business marketing geniuses, Dan Kennedy, I jumped at the chance. The only problem was, the book was called ‘The Ultimate Success Secret’, and I didn’t have a clue what I could write about.

Now, I am not the sort of chap who values financial wealth and material things as ‘success’. I never have and never will, and so I had to come up with an idea that I thought would resonate with the reader. And so, one afternoon, while Soli (my wife) and I were away in Lanzarote, sitting round the pool chilling, the idea of what to write just jumped into my mind, as if by magic.

I dragged myself away from the pool, found the remains of a scrappy notebook I had with me, and began to scribble away furiously. It flowed so easily that I wrote it all in one sitting without getting up once. I must say I shocked myself and Soli. It was only afterward that I really understood why the words came so easily, and the answer is this:

The words I had written were my personal story.

They were key moments in my life that I had never really spoken about, and they just came tumbling out. It was as if I was in the right moment and the right place in my life to get the words down on paper.

The Ultimate Success Secret Book

The Ultimate Success Secret BookHowever, the title of the book is ‘The Ultimate Success Secret’, so I had to make sure that I wasn’t just waffling, but that my story was relevant to me and the readers who would pick up the book. I wanted them to get some real pearls of wisdom from it. Not only that, but I had to be true to Dan Kennedy and the other co-author and business guru David White.

The focus of the book is not so much on the thinking of successful people, but more attention is paid to their behaviour. It may have been easier to simply state what the secret is and write it down on a 3-by-5 card, but, simply put, it would not have the same effect. In fact, you may find that there are several secrets that you will unearth as you turn the pages.

However, the real benefit The Ultimate Success Secret is that if you take and implement just one idea (maybe the one handed down to me), you will see that by applying it to your life, your version of success will be closer than you think. If you are one of my regular readers, you will know I consume an awful lot of books, audio books, blogs and other content every day.

Research has shown that high achievers are ‘addicted’ to reading. They want to expand their mind.

My contribution to ‘The Ultimate Success Secret’ is part of my most personal story, and even as I write these words, I am a little anxious to know that by the time you read this, it will be out there forever. If my words resonate and can help any of you at all, I will be thrilled.

Best of all, I’ve decided to give the book away for free, because I know it will help you. You can get your free copy by visiting this page -> The Ultimate Success Secret or by visiting www.theclaimsdesk.co.uk/uss
