I’m No J.K. Rowling, But I Am a Best-seller (thanks to you)…

It’s been a massively busy month here at The Claims Desk, not only with new and existing claims, but much more besides…

You may have seen recently that I relaunched my book, The Five Deadly Sins That Can Destroy Your Insurance Claim, and thanks to everyone, it reached the dizzying heights of No. 1 on Amazon, in various categories in the
UK, USA and Australia.

I’m really extremely proud.

You can get your copy (if you haven’t already) here.

I’d love to get your comments. It was so nice to get lots of positive feedback. It makes all the effort worthwhile.

The main aim of what we do at TCD is to help our clients through a very tough and stressful time in their lives.

If we can get information out to you before the incident happens, you will be in a far better position to know what to expect and who you can trust (which is key) when the muck hits the fan.

That’s the main reason I wrote this book.

Just so you know what we get up to, here are few of the different claims we have dealt with so far this year:

  • A large fire in a rented house in Harrow on behalf of the landlord.
  • An elderly lady who lost control of her car and drove through the rear wall of her house into her kitchen and dining room in Hendon.

Thankfully no one was hurt — apart from their pride.

We also helped with:

  • Various claims for water damage to houses and flats across the capital.
  • An explosion that demolished a house in Manchester.
  • A fire in a shop started by vandals in Liverpool.
  • Several thefts, including an inside job where tens thousands of pounds cash was stolen from a kebab manufacturer.
  • Many others. (Phew.)

So, now it’s time for a break, and as I write this, I’m getting ready (at least in my head) to go away with the lovely Mrs. Lazarus for a well-earned rest.

For two weeks, we will be in Rhodes.

I’ve never been before, and I have heard mixed reviews, so it will be interesting as we love the Greek islands and have visited several.

It’s just the two of us, and as usual, we’ve rented a villa up in the hills away from it all, so we can chill out and read loads.

I always find it’s a great time to generate lots of new ideas.

So many in fact that I have to write them all down and create a to-do list.

Most are terrible, but some I’ll take home and will come to life, whether at home or work.

I plan on sketching out my next book, which I’m really excited about. I won’t say too much now, but I’ll let you know how I get on in future newsletters.

The sun, pool and a few beers may get the better of me!

We also hire a car so we can explore, especially places where we haven’t been before. I can’t wait.

By the time you read this, summer will be well and truly over. The kids will be back in school, and we will be planning for Christmas.

The days, weeks and months just fly by so quickly.

Its so important to make the most of every day.

Until next time, here’s hoping you have a very peaceful October.

Very best wishes…
